Re: dedicated cd player recommendation?

This appears to be a serious audiophile CD player... congrats!

Our latest creation in bringing the digital domain to the Reference standard that Audiophiles demand. This player will make you forget about your vinyl collection, or at least give you the alternative to choose without sacrificing what you love from your vinyl (analog) rig. Have you been disillusioned with "Perfect Sound Forever" with your CD's? Out Tube CD Player will have you thinking maybe they were correct. No, we didn't roll off those shrill grainy high frequencies that other players exibit, we engineered a way to successfully represent these extended frequencies.

The new tube - based CD player from Eastern Electric has arrived to partner with MiniMax preamp and power amplifier. Its essence is simplicity and attention to detail. The MiniMax CD player is the product of a company that firmly believes in the adage, less is more.

High quality parts and robust construction are readily apparent. The designers auditioned a great range of parts brands (resistors, capacitors, etc.) to find the best combination for their circuit. preamp and power amplifier.

Specification

• Tube: 6922 x 2
• Output Level: 2 Volts +/-3dB
• Frequency Response: 20Hz~20kHz +/-0.5dB
• Distortion and Noise: less than -60dB
• S/N Ratio: 90dB
• Dynamic Range: 93dB / 100dB (HDCD)
• Channel Separation: 90dB @ 1kHz
• Power Requirements: 1117VAC +/-5%, 50/60Hz
• Power Comsumption: 30Watt
• Dimensions (W x D x H) - 12" x 13" x 3" (316mm x 338mm x 95mm)
• Weight: 6kg

Yeah, rick, that looks and sounds like a nice player. You've got a pretty nice system going! Did you have a chance to compare it to the Rotels or any other players? Either way, congrats on the new toy!
