Did the kit come with the Hitachi service bulletin for your set? It should have the resistors listed. What part number did you get for the kit and where did you get yoru information? When you say Vance Electronics, do you mean Vance Baldwin? You can find a copy of the information that comes with the kits posted here:
I got the kit: X480295 for DP15 chassis, models 53UDX10B, 61UDX10B, however, i have the hitachi 61swx10b tv. Will i have a problem with these resistors?
X480302 for DP17 chassis models 53SWX10B, 53SWX12B, 61SWX10B, 61SWX12B--this is the one that i have.
You don't have to change any of the 6 resistors if it's not faulty, aka, open.
What are the STKs in your set? two STK392-110s or one STK392-110 + one STK392-150? If yes you should be able to use 150s to do a direct replacement, given that you got original but not fake parts.
You should worry. I won't do that any way. This low ohm resistor should be accurate in resistance. It's desiged that way then there must be a good reason. acme-sales has quite a collection of 1w or 2w flameproof resistors.
The clips are not important themselves, but if the board is not seated properly it can be broken. You cannot just push a pin back in. Replace the IC.
