I have a Hitachi 43FDX10B chassis DP15E and replaced the convergence ICs(STK392-120) and one blown resister(rk54).The reason for the repair was the color blue would not line up or adjust. This makes the 4th convergence repair, the first by me.After the repair I am able to adjust the convergence in user mode with pretty good results except the left upper corner instead of to cross hairs looking like this + they are slanted. I also have a slight horizontal line about 8 inches from the bottom that runs from side to side. It is not a solid line ,it looks like video noise.
I got the resisters from B&D and the ICs from e-bay. I purchased the parts before I read your posts about the cheap STKs and the 394-160 upgrade. I do have the service manual but before I open the TV up to get to the service mode I wondering if the ICs could be bad or an adjustment may take care of the problem.
By the way the last repairman had 2 different ICs one 392-120 & one 392-150 . That repair didn't last a year. Everything I've read about this repair tells you to replace them in pairs.
Thanks, Ted
