I have picked up a free 53" Hitachi with what I believe is a simple convergence issue (red blue 3d affect). I pulled the board out and when I flipped it over I noticed two spots where a jumper wire was used. I am not sure why anyone would do this unless it is from the factory like this. Can anyone explain what they are for and if it would hurt anything if I removed the one attached to the convergence point? Please see attached images.

It is from the factory. Just change the defective or damaged parts and assemble it the same way you found it.
