Office Space iPod Experience

This is an experimental early start on a video blog for Gizmo Cafe's blog.
Please share any thoughts. I'm new to this video blogging stuff but I'm giving it a try.

The office space cube farm is a reality of working in this modern 'age of information'. Our labors needn’t be completely bleak. Despite toiling within prefab cubes designed with soul crushing off-white fabric that glistens beneath the delicate hue of dental office fluorescence, there are many positive developments. The modern day office space affords the worker casual, comfortable attire and my personal favorite - the MP3 player. Even managers can rejoice as studies show music increases productivity. In this video I’ll explore how to get the most from your office space MP3 player.

Requires up to date Quick Time

With a power outlet and a static seating arrangement it’s strange that people who work to music insist on using stock earbuds. Since portability at your cube isn’t an issue you can even go with AC powered headphone amplification along with real headphones.

Very cool Wayde, You look pretty hip, and your acting isn't too bad.

I've got the guts to wear the AKG 701s at work, and they're huge and white. Yes, they call me an air traffic controller. But I can't muster up the nerve to park a tube amp on my desk. No one understands why I need a headphone amp, and the glowing tubes would probably draw literal jeers! My HeadRoom Micro gets that job done on the sly.

But can you imagine taking my rig to the street?

BTW, this is NOT me.

Re: Office Space iPod Experience

Well, thanks man. That's a good series of compliments coming from someone who obviously recognizes the value of good headphone hi-fi.

I'm sure most people where I work just have no idea what the hell a tube amp is. I get more curious questions than anything. It's funny because people at work think I'm an "audiophile" but really I think audiophiles are slightly different. I just like good sound.

I'm working on the acting. We just shot another tonight and I think it'll be much better.

I really hate to see people using earbuds and 128bit MP3s, I just wonder if they really even like music or are they just going through the motions because it's a learned behavior.

Wayde, I may have already told you, but your acting in that ipod video was excellent. If I didn't know, I'd say you've been doing it for a while... or maybe I don't know and you have done it for a while... lol. You are a natural my friend.

Wayde that was great, freaking Tube Headphone amp. I can laugh cause I'll probably get one myself at some point. BTW I too have the 4G (20GB) so Wolfson it is for me ;-)
