Toshiba expands Z2000, H2000 & C2000 REGZA lineup

1080p is all the rage these days and Toshiba's newest addition to the Z2000 line doesn't disappoint. Out of the four new LCDs in this series, the 47-, 42-, and 37-inch have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 with the smaller 32-inch Z2000 sporting a 1366 x 768 resolution. Normally, we can interchange spec sheets from manufacturer to manufacturer without anyone noticing as most similar size LCDs have nearly the same connectivity jacks, but not these. First, they are equipped with three DIM ports, two Japanese D4 inputs, two S-Vida, four composite, two IEEE 1394, three Ethernet ports (more on that in a bit), and finally three RF input. This model line was blessed with an overhall of its electronic programming guide that looks rather nice. Even though we have no idea what it says, the layout looks appealing, but back to that Ethernet jack. These models can playback files that are stored on a PC but also a new RAID media server from Toshiba. The 47-inch should be out in late October with a 600,000 Yen price ($5,187 USD) and the smaller 42-,37-, and 32-inch sets in the middle of the September for 500,000 Yen ($4,132 USD), 420,000 Yen ($3,631 USD), and 300,000 Yen ($2,593 USD) respectively.

[H2000 & C2000 lineup info after the jump]
The H2000 line may not have the advantage of the high resolution to set themselves apart from other LCDs, but they are still nice additions to the series. These 42-, 37- and 32-inch LCDs sets run at a somewhat standard 1366 x 768 resolution and are equipped with a standard array of inputs including two HDMI inputs, one D4 , two S-Vid, three composite, and optical output. These new models can acquire their programming guide info from the Internet by what of Toshiba's iNet system. These LCDs are coming out in late October as well at a price of 450,000 Yen ($3,890 USD) for the 42-inch, 370,000 Yen ($3,198 USD) for the 37-inch and 300,000 Yen ($2,593 USD) for the smaller 37-inch.

The C2000 series is more of your average Best Buy/Sears line. They're going to be available at the 42-, 37-, 32-, 26-, and 23-inch sizes starting in late October too. The really isn't anything special about these panels as they sport 1366 x 768 resolution and the same array of inputs that the H2000 lineup is equipped with. This lineup does not have that fancy over-the-Internet programming guide however, but the lower price, we think it may be worth going this route. The prices start at 400,000 Yen for the 42-inch and continue on down to 320,000 Yen ($2,751 USD) for the 37-inch, then for the 250,000 Yen ($2,149 USD) for the 32-inch, 200,000 Yen ($1,719 USD) for the 26-inch and lastly, 180,000 Yen ($1,547 USD) for the 23-inch.
