| IFA 2006: Sony Pictures takes Blu-ray international in October Filed under: Industry, News, Programming, Sony  More Blu-ray news from IFA 2006 in Germany, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced plans to release movies outside of North America. The titles released, including Hitch, S.W.A.T., Hostel, Ultraviolet and others will be available this October in Australia, Japan, Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Holland, the Nordic countries, Spain and the United Kingdom. They did not specify pricing other than to say it would be similar to the price of DVDs when they launched in each country.
