| BlackBerry PERL Launches on Amazon If you've been waiting for an "Everyman BlackBerry," here it is. Thin? Check. Megapixel camera? Check. MP3 player? Check. Footprint of a RAZR? You bet. Whacky four-way scroll wheel in the middle? You got it. We're not kidding when we say this is the best BB device we've seen. I have it in my hands right now, and as a BlackBerry user, it does not get any better than this. From the shiny silver sides to the lustrous black face, from the gorgeous screen to the "phone" footprint, the PERL looks primed to blast BlackBerry's image as just a business device. QWERTY-kids, fret not about the double-tap keyboard. I've been using the 7130c for the last several months and have been very impressed with the SureType feature. When comparing the 7130c's keyboard to the new PERL, the keys on the PERL are physically a bit larger--and given they're right next to each other on the PERL, that's a good thing. Each key slopes down on the top half so as to make it less likely to hit the wrong key when typing mails. Link to Article | |||
