| | Video: Sony's Flashy Walkman Straight out of the Closet Sony’s NW-E003 MP3 Player may turn some heads with its stylish look, but it’s also got a satisfying audio quality for a flash MP3 player. In our video, we'll answer two pressing questions: what’s Sony really saying with its new breed of Walkman-branded MP3 players, and why are they so darned stylish? Our video also touches on the differences between the micro HDD and flash memory. The most obvious difference between the two choices is price per GB. At an average of 70 cents per GB, hard drive storage is quite cheap compared to flash memory, which can cost around $30 per GB. As the price of flash keeps declining, there is a point where its gains in battery life will outweigh the savings offered by disk storage. And that, my friends, will likely be the final day for disk storage - at least in portable devices, anyway. Link to Article | |||

| | Re: Video: Sony's Flashy Walkman Straight out of the Closet Sorry, this one is a video and I'm not sure it can be embedded here like it can be on YouTube or Google video. You can see the video here, it's the same link as the original blog post. Wayde | |||
