| The line between cable and satellite continues to blur as both services now offer: premium and local HD programming bundled leased HD-DVR’s. DirecTV also recently announced 14 new markets eligible for local channels in HD:•Cincinnati Ohio •Madison, Wisconsin •Austin, Texas •Memphis, Tennessee •Albuquerque, New Mexico •Portland, Maine & Oregon. •Grand Rapids, Michigan •Providence, Rhode Island. •Green Bay, Wisconsin •Reno, Nevada. •Greensboro, N.C. •San Antonio Texas •Las Vegas Nevada These cities are in addition to the already announced markets eligible for local HD feeds. DirecTV plans to roll out even more local channels in high definition later this year. These local market HD channels combined with DirecTV’s shift to leased equipment, might just be enough to convince unsatisfied HD-cable customers to give them a try. Link To Original Article | |||
