If you're going to be a contender in the LCD bloodbath we're expecting to experience in the coming months, you've got to be able to get your hands on mass LCD supplies as quickly as possible. Cue an announcement from Sharp today revealing its plans to build a new LCD module plant in Poland.
The plant is going to be built in Torun in the north-central part of Poland and is expected to create 800 new jobs. It's hoped that it will churning out LCD modules for large-screen LCD TVs being built in Spain as early as January 2007.
