Integra's DHC-60.5 and DTR-60.5 to Hit the Streets in August

Onkyo, maker of Integra brand audio-video components, recently announced two more new models to join the ranks of their AV line-up. The DHC-60.5 (an AV pre-amp processor) and DTR-60.5 (an AV receiver), similar to other Integra products, are designed with custom installation needs in mind. Similar to the new Elite AV Receivers Home Theater Shack reported earlier this month, the DHC-60.5 and DTR-60.5 support HDBaseT technology that allow for lengthy transmission (300+ feet) of HD audio and video signals to a main or second zone using one CAT5e/6 cable.

"The addition of HDBaseT in these two new models help address an issue many in the custom installation market deal with; providing HD quality over long distances," said Keith Haas, Director of Sales. "Implementing technologies like HDBaseT allows us to continue to provide products people have come to expect from the market leader.”

The DHC-60.5 is a preamp processor hitting the streets with a THX Ultra2 Plus certification, which Onkyo suggests matches perfectly with their THX certified DTA-70.1 amplifier. The unit has 4K passthrough and upscaling managed by a Marvel QDEO processor. It also carries both Wi-Fi and BlueTooth capabilities. On the connectivity front, the DHC-60.5 has nine HDMI inputs, one HDMI output, one HDBaseT output, and 7.2 XLR input and pre-outs.

The DTR-60.5 is a 9.2 channel 135 Watt per channel AV receiver that carries nearly similar connectivity options, a primary difference being the unit offers 11.2 pre-outs. It’s also capable of reassigning 4 of the 9 available channels to power a second or third zone simultaneously. In addition, the DTR-60.5 comes loaded with sound processing capabilities including Dolby Pro-Logic IIz. And, as one would expect for a unit costing thousands of dollars, it comes with Audyssey’s premier room correction software: Audyssey MultEQ XT32.

Besides it’s home theater capabilities, Integra built the DTR-60.5 with two-channel listening in mind. The company’s proprietary Digital Processing Crossover Network splits signals into high and low frequencies allowing for accurate bi-amping of speakers.
Both units support playback of common HD music files, such as FLAC, ALAC, HD 24/96, AND HD 24/192. They also allow users access to common streaming services such as Spotify, Pandora, SlackerTM, Rhapsody, SiriusXM IR, AUPEO!, and Last.fm through the use of the Apple and Android capable Integra Remote App.

The DHC 60.5 ($2,000 MSRP) and DTR 60.5 ($2,300 MSRP) will be available in August.

Integra and Onkyo Pre-pro's and receivers were my favorite before I got swept up in the Trinnov solution. I really wish Onkyo/Integra would offer Trinnov in the top products as I would scoop one up in a heartbeat!

These look like real winners though.
