| 7.1 ?'s Am I nuts for putting in a 7.1 system? I have never had one before. Will it take a 5.1 DD soundtrack and put sound through the sides and rears? Or is it only used for 7.1 soundtrack and DTS_ES etc.? Excuse my ignorance on the subject. | |||

| Re: 7.1 ?'s No, you are not nuts. Yes, with Pro-Logic IIx the receiver can remix everything between 2.0 and 6.1 into 7.1. I love having four surrounds, I find it much more enveloping than two. We are the Shack. Existence as you know it is over. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. You will be mapped. Resistance is futile. | |||

| Re: 7.1 ?'s From my experience if you have the right layout 7.1 is nice. Like mentioned you can take most signals and apply PLIIx for a nice 7.1 setup. I also really enjoyed using 7 channel stereo for sporting events. Take a look here and look at some of the layouts. http://www.dolby.com/consumer/home_e...oomlayout.html Also if you have any sketches of your room or pics we might be able to make some suggestions. | |||
