Arcam has introduced the latest addition to their already solid, DiVA product range. The AVR350 surround receiver with dual HDMI inputs and Burr-Brown digital to analog converters, offers features and specifications such as:
• 2-way HDMI switching
• 7 x 100 watts per channel continuous power output (all channels driven)
• Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, DTS 24/96 & Dolby Pro logic IIx decoding
• HDTV compatible component / RGB switching
• Composite and S-video up conversion to component or RGB
• Second zone output with audio and video
It’s nice to see HDMI support making its way into more surround receivers but we’ve still got a ways to go before it’s as commonplace as component inputs, HDMI support by and large is still relegated to the upper-end of many manufacturers product ranges.
Arcam for those who may be unfamiliar with the line, focuses on performance above bells and whistles. Having worked in an Arcam dealership years ago I can personally attest to lines solid performance. The AVR350 retails for $2499.
