samsung Dlp Help please

Hi, Maybe someone may be able to help with my Samsung hlp4663w Dlp tv. About 6mos ago my color wheel went out in the dlp, I replaced it. All of a sudden i couldn't get the lamp to fire. I was told the lamp was probably shot so i replaced the lamp. Still can't get the tv to work. I get all three messages on the round button flashing...which means the lamp has problems. I just put a brand new lamp in, so I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

This shoule realy be posted in the Manufacturers Service and Support forum.

What exactly happens when you try to start the set? Watch the LEDs and note the order in which they come on and report that back.

Did the set ever fire up after you replaced the color wheel? Are you sure that you connected it properly and connected all of the sensor and fan wires properly?

My first thought is that you may not have put the cover for the lamp on properly. There is a switch that keeps the set from starting if the cover is open. It can be damaged if you are not careful.

Re: samsung Dlp Help please

Hey I appreciate the help. the order of the LEDs is as follows. First the green lamp lights up, then the upper left red LED lights up. Then it will try it all over again 2 more times. Then finally the three LEDs start blinking.

The replacement of the color wheel went real easy and it is working now. You can hear it spinning when I first turn the tv on.

Where is the switch when you put on the lamp cover. And are talking about the metal lamp cover on the actual lamp chasis. or the lamp cover on the back of the tv with the four screws?

The switch is a smal blue lever that is pressed closed by the cover that you take off to access the lamp. Do you hear the ballast trying to start the lamp?
