5.1.2 setup

Hope I'm in the right place. Tomorrow I am hooking up my Yamaha 3050, replacing my 2020. Front LCRs are Triad in room Bronze. Surrounds are Elan (cheapo) in walls. Subs are Velodyne. I'm getting a pair of Elac in room for Dolby Atmos. Dolby's info page says that the Elacs can be mounted 3 feet above the Left and Right fronts aiming reflections back to the sweet spot. They will sit on top of my media center above the Triad L and Rs. Is there anything else I should do? They will be hooked up to the front Presence speaker outputs on the 3050, and I'll still have enough amps to power my Zone 2 outdoors. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Carter.

Sounds like a good approach. I have no alternate suggestions.

Hi Wayne. All hooked up with Elac presence speakers. Oppo 103d. Playing John Wick with Dolby Atmos. Chose Dolby Atmos in Disc Audio setup. Yamaha 3050 shows Dolby True HD not Atmos. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Carter

Sounds pretty good. The Elac instructions call for placement directly on top of my left and right fronts, that's not going to work. Dolby's page says it's OK to place them where I have, three feet above the LRs bouncing off the ceiling. I am going to play around with the setup to see if I can improve it. The Dolby Atmos movie I bought from Amazon ain't my cup of tea. John Wick.
