Adding Emotiva to my system...

Hello everyone, below is my setup and questions. I'd appreciate any help/insight to this question and if you have some good reading on amps, I'd appreciate that, too.

My system:
Receiver: Denon AVR 3805
Speakers:
Fronts: Denon RTi10
Center: Denon CSi30
Surrounds side: FXi50
Rear: FXi50
Sub: PSW505
DVD: Oppo BDP-93
FIOS DVR
Phono, tape deck and cd player

I've had this setup for 10 years now and want to upgrade my current amp setup. I don't want to change the gear I have as I am quite happy with it, however, I have been exploring buying a 7 channel amp and came across the Emotive XPA Gen3 amp and the Monoprice 7 channel amps and they looked appealing to me. I enjoyed how the Behringer woke up the front end of my home theater and now I want to do the same for the entire surround system. but with a one piece unit. I am currently running 2x Behringer A500 amps - center channel (bridge mono) and front channel (stereo). I have 3 Behringers (was bridging front channels), but the left channel is not cooperating, so I took it out of the system (hence prompting me to look to upgrade). I also have an external EQ (Behringer FBQ3102) connected to the fronts. My setup is 7.1. I have a few questions as I have not been following the trends for quite some time.

1. Will either be good for my setup?
2. What will I lose with these amps as compared to the Behringer?
3. What will I gain with these amps as compared to the Behringer?
4. Is this overkill for my setup?
5. Can you get a true balanced connection if the receiver's preamp output is rca? (Emotiva)
6. What other amp would you suggest I review?
7. Is the EQ going to create problems with this amp?
8. The Behringer amps caused a ground loop buzz in the speakers, will these amps do the same?
9. Am I nuts for wanting to do this?
10.Are there any discount codes for these amp?

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond...Al

Re: Adding Emotiva to my system...

#9 you'll get more return from replacing the psw505.
At the very least the emos will look better than any Behringer stuff lol. Can't answer most of your other questions but almost every emotiva user I've encountered has been very pleased. I use a Yamaha p2500s on my mains and it's great. 200 bucks on eBay. Alls I gots...

Re: Adding Emotiva to my system...

We have a 3 channel XPA3 running the L R C in my main clients home ...the d*m* thing is a BEAST...

No you cannot get true balanced connection using RCA outs to XLR in....

Behringer is inferior to Emotiva ...dont even consider it....

Ground loops are generally caused by running amps from a different AC circuit than the receiver.... in any case its easily fixed by using a ground lift adapter...

EQ is best used to subtract certain frequencies rather than adding them...

Yes you are nuts - which is why your going to go online right now and buy that Emotiva
