Sure, but I am sure it was you that made the point of not wanting to use a lot of eq in a design if possible. Why use eq if you can source a driver that will do the job without so much equalisation. I think IB drivers are more specifically designed to work in massive cabinets anyway, which I reckon is a better staring point for a project such as this. I stand to be corrected though.

Also, its worth bearing in mind that the Q of a system is dependant on all the factors of that system. Most drivers are designed with their intended application in mind and give a resultant system Q, so most drivers once loaded change their Q values. In a cabinet the size of this one, there will be pretty much no loading at all, so those kinds of drivers IMHO will be inappropriate. A driver designed to stand alone, without any cabinet loading as such, should in theory be the much better choice for a project of this nature.

Re: Is 90 cu ft enough room for infinite

Can somebody check my calcs here - I think I have missed something.... You need 10 X VAS for a proper space behind an IB subwoofer so....

FI ib312 VAS = 83 cubic Liters

So you would need (10 X VAS) 830 Cubic liters.

1 cubic foot = 28 Liters

830/28 = 29

This equals 29 cubic feet for one FI IB312
This equals 59 cubic feet for two FI IB312

Is this right? For 2 drivers with VASs of 83 = all you need is at least 59 cubic feet to have proper IB??? Seems too small....

So 3X3X3 cubic feet is 27 cubic feet --- so this would be almost big enough for a IB with the FI iv312???
