| Another Mitsubishi vs-50805 issue Once I got this TV working (see Mitsubishi vs-50805 issue), I noticed this purple spot in the center of the screen. When the TV is not displaying a video image (blue screen), the TV appears OK. The spot is always present when the video is input from -antena, DVD, VCR, etc. I have cleaned the top of all three lenses with no effect. Does this have something to do with coolent/spotting? Any ideas? | |||

| Re: Another Mitsubishi vs-50805 issue Looks like a phosphor burn on the green CRT. With the set off shine a flashlight in the green lens and observe the phosphor on the face of the tube. | Re: Another Mitsubishi vs-50805 issue Loss of horizontal and vertical deflection concentrates the beam in one location. Usually the protection kicks in and shuts down the beam current, but apparently not fast enough in this case.
