| Top and Bottom of the Screen Bows I have a Mitsubishi 46" Rear Projection WT-46805. The top and bottom of the screen bows almost like a sideways hourglass. I've read the convergence thread and figure I need to replace th IC's. Is the a way to know if just resoldering will fix the problem. Also I have found out that if I tap in a certain place on the bottom of the TV the picture will go back to normal. | |||

| Re: Top and Bottom of the Screen Bows If tapping affects the problem, then you may just need to resolder. If you let it go too long you will need to change the chips. | Re: Top and Bottom of the Screen Bows Its been permanently like that for at least 6 months now. I just figured out that tapping will fix it but only for about 2-4 minutes. If I do need a service tech do you know any in Phoenix, Az? | |||

| Re: Top and Bottom of the Screen Bows Chances are that the chips should be changed. I don't know anyone in Phoenix, but I will ask around on the tech lists. "It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it." -Joseph Joubert Raise the bar. | |||
