| Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome I have a ws-65315 that is 2 1/2 years old and started the blinking green syndorme. I tried the resets and unplugging the tv for 24 hrs and no luck. My thing is that i keep reading about the dm module and that it's located on the left hand side of the rear inputs. I don't have the silver box to the left that is often refered too either. Nor can i find a box like the one where the dm module is located on other mits. I did find a small green board similar to the ones pictured in other forums but mine only has small tiny silver caps. They look nothing like the ones everyone talks about. Is there a possibility that this technique for repair doesn't apply to my ws-65315. The part i have has a number on it is 934C063 and on the top right it reads DOUBLER. On the back side there is another number and that reads 211A63801. I just want to know if i'm at the right place or not. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advanced. | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome Your set does not have the DM module. I have never run across a continuously blinking led on a Mits unit that does not have A DM. Can you describe the symptoms more specifically? Is the unit in shutdown? If so, press input and menu on the front panel simultaneously for 5 sec and record the two digit blink codes on the front panel LED. ______________________ Why I support scouting... | Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome Well to begin the tv just shutdown one afternoon. The set showed no symptoms of a problem prior to the shutdown. Right after the tv turned off the LED light is constantly blinking light green very fast. The unit is completely unresponsive and won't react to anything I do. I tried the input and menu and no luck. The previous tech that took the whole set apart said the problem is in the signal module part # 934C063. I just want to get a second opinion since i've heard these parts are expensive or maybe out of stock. Thanks for the help. | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome Ws-65315 Signal board, part #930B901003-65 1 Mitsubishi Retail 325.00 USD, Dealer cost 150.00 USD with $150 core charge, plus shipping. The part shows available to ship at this time. With that symptom, a good guess would be the signal board, but I would be repairing it at the component level for most problems rather than replacing the entire board. Did the tech give you an estimate or any other information about how he diagnosed it? Did he pull the light box for shop repair? ______________________ Why I support scouting... | Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome Well when he came out he tested it and said that it appeared to have some circuits blown. He took the tv apart and removed the whole entire board and took it to another repair center to have it checked. He then brought it back after he had changed whatever he said was damaged and the tv didn't respond at that point again. We were back to square 1. He then talked to some other techs and that's how they came up with the signal board because all it's not doing is sending the signal to turn on. He said everything appears to be okay. He said he was confident if I changed the signal board my TV would fire right up. I already paid $200 for his services and I would hate to pay another 300 to 400 dollars to be back to square 1 that's why I decided to come to the board. Now my new concern is that the part he said is bad is a small 4 1/2 by 6 1/2 board part # 934C063 and the one you listed is another? Thanks again. | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome That is not a complete part number but it is a partial for a doubler board, not a signal board. It is likely that your tech does not have a clue. Anyone doing serious troubleshooting on these sets wold take the light box (tubes and chassis) out of the set and bring it to the shop to repair. You cannot test these boards without the set unless you are must shotgunning passive components. I would be looking for another tech. Was this shop a Mitsubishi ASC? ______________________ Why I support scouting... | Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome Well on the paper he gave me he wrote down signal module but the part number he refers to is the doubler board. He is not associated with Mits at all. When he took the tv he took the complete boards that runs flat on the botttom of the tv from one side to the other. My thing is that by the time someone that knows what they are doing and maybe parts and all i could have purchased a new TV and that's what I want to avoid. I do really appreciate all your time regarding my tv. Thanks again. | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome I have the rolling vertical horizontal Green Line. Is this because of the Dooubler Board? I have tried convergence and resetting, but it is still there. I called a technician and he said that it was the coupler. This coupler has the word Doubler on it. Do I have to replace this board? And if I do can you tell me he part number and where I can get it? | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome I am not familiar with "the rolling vertical horizontal Green Line." Can you describe the line more clearly? Is it a horizontal line or a vertical line? How big? Is there any other distortion in the pix. There is no "coupler" so I suspect you mean the doubler board. What troubleshooting was done? Under what conditions does this line occur? Which inputs? OSD? In the convergence grid? Can you post a picture? Is your set the same model as discussed in this thread? ______________________ Why I support scouting... Is it a horizontal line or a vertical line? How big? Is there any other distortion in the pix. The line is horizontal about 1/2" to an inch thick, and the line moves from bottom to TOP in the picture. What troubleshooting was done? The Tech looked at the picture with the DVD player, and the without my directv, and it was still showing. He tried convergence and the line showed up on the grid of the convergence grid. Under what conditions does this line occur? This Line occurs immediately when I turn on the TV. After about 20 or 30 min it goes away. | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome Sounds like classic symptom of a bad power supply cap. ______________________ Why I support scouting... | Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome What can I do? Should I order another doubler board? What is the part number for the doubler board? Where can I get one? What caps need to be replaced? Please any information you can provide that might help, in my repair will be most helpful. | ||||

| Re: Ws-65315 Blinking Green Syndrome I cannot troubleshoot your set by email. You could replace the doubler, but I would be reluctant to do so without better diagnostic information. If it is a bad cap, there are dozens that could be the problem. Without having the set and a scope and some understanding of the circuit, it would be guessing. ______________________ Why I support scouting...
