Finding a replacement bulb...

I'm considering a 50" DLP set for our small family room (which our daughter pretty much occupies for now), but before I do, I'd like to know how much I'm going to be spending on replacement bulbs. The set is the Samsung HLT5075S or HLT5075SAX (depending on where you buy it from).

The set cost me about $1000 and if bulbs are too high, it might pay off to spend another $400 now and get the LED version.

$110 from Discount Merchant. Don't know if it's the same quality as the original though.

They are the original lamps. They just come without the housing and you have to be careful handling them and installing them in the old housing.

For that price it's definitely worth being careful!

I call myself searching D-M, but got no results. I think I searched Samsung and the model number and it appears you just searched the model number only... hmmm.

Well... $110 each. I wonder if I can get 3 years out of a bulb? It appears they generally last 4-6000 hours. That might only be a couple of years for us.
