I bought this tv used. It worked fine before i loaded up, i then drove 2 hours, unloaded, now it will not turn on(green led stays on for about 2 sec then off). It gives code 2-2 short circuit. I have tried holding menu button for ten seconds, then try to power up, unplug for 2 minutes and repeat. Whatever happened had to happen while it was transported. Since it was working before, should i replace fuses and try it? Will the fuse that's bad tell me which board to look at? Where are the fuses located?
Any help will be appreciated.
I found a spring that was laying in top of the PCB Power board. There was a small melted place where the spring was touching. I don't know where it come from and it's not even shown on the parts list. Would this have blown a fuse or burned out something else or both? Should i replace the fuse and power up?
The spring was not copper. What does the coil look like? This thing was stretched out and 4 inches long. It looked like the springs on the tubes but smaller in diameter.
There are sometimes springs on the ground straps on the CRTs.
