I am basically a 2-channel guy. I do not have enough space in the house to set-up a HT system. My the other half does not like it....My listerning room (10x12x8ft) is exteremely small.
Well, thats life! But I enjoy listerning to classical and jazz music. I also enjoy the low bass response of movies. I am not an equalizer-man and have not use one before. Recently, I got a 31x2 channel equalizer and I wonder if I can use it to equalize my little room.... What is the difference between an equalizer and a parametric equalizer. I hope to be able to equalized my 15'' woofer. Thanks in advance and HI:T to everyone!!!!

Welcome to the forum.
I started life as a 2 channel guy, converted to multi-channel and destroyed my 2 channel enjoyment in the process. After trial, tribulation, mistakes and $$$'s I now have a great 2 and muti-channel combined system. If your ever tempted to go down this route I can share my mistakes with you.

I also want to welcome you the the SHACK!

I love the two channel stuff. I am a tube man. Actually, I was a TUBE man. We just moved this past week and before we moved, I sold my tube gear. I will aquire new gear in the next house we have built, but for now, I am just a home theater buff.

I sold my 100 watt tube amps and my tube pre-amp and my Martin Logan speakers. I miss them. I have NO room in my current townhome for them, but I hope too soon.

Once again, welcome to the forum.
