I have the first on region 2 DVD plus Iíve seen it Empire Leicester Square on the JBL 56KW THX the biggest THX screen in the UK and it still didnít make sense because it was all-too fast action orientated I couldnít tell who was the good guys and bad guys and I donít care much for the characters.

No, Iíve just about got very little interest in buying this one Michael Bay can keep this Transformers 2.
Hello,
Your opinion is in keeping with the vast majority of Movie Critics. This might have been one of the most panned and derided movies of all time.

I personally preferred the first installment and agree that the plot is about impossible to discern. Such that it is pretty much a 3 hour long General Motors infomercial, just realize the good guys are in GM cars and the bad guys are in Audi's and other non GM cars.

That being said, I did purchase the Blu Ray and it sounds and looks incredible. One of those discs you use to justify having so much in your HT that you could have purchased a really nice car instead.
Cheers,
JJ

It's weird how many reviewers/critics are putting this and G.I. Joe neck and neck on the worst movie lists, but for me, I found more enjoyment in this movie than I did in G.I. Joe. I suppose, Shiny metal things and hot cars (even if they are GM) really got my attention.

Hello,
With movies like this, I do not care about plot. They act as pure escapism for me and sound and look amazing. I picked up this disc the day it was released and waited to watch it on my HT.
Cheers,
JJ

Re: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - Blu-ray Review

Its a fun film that perhaps we look at too seriously. Its a bit long, Megan Fox has no real role other than attracting the trouser pound/dollar, everyone seems to be trying to hard instead of concentrating on acting, and there are better ways of trying to get across any sort of message. At the end of the day though its just meant to be Tranformers, primarily for boys to enjoy, and lots of effects and explosions etc. It delivers that a plenty, and as long as you dont expect any more, then its a fun action flick and a decent enough film. Jack has it spot on IMO, and over the years I have had to try realise this myself, instead of just panning films that dont push the boundaries.

3.5*s for me.

The first movie was vastly superior to this film. The story line for this one flat out stunk. You have a chance to deepen your main character and really develop relationships. Instead you take advantage of us. I will not watch the 3rd movie unless it has fantastic review.

Well there really was no story line, and I agree it did feel like it was only made to get more cash out our pockets. I still feel like it might be being taken more seriously than intended though

Well I enjoyed the action and Camaro. That's the most beautiful thing in the movie.

Definitely! I'm not a very big fan of American cars generally, but the Camaro and the prototype Corvette were really yummy eye-candy!
