Really? I did watch it in hd, so that could be a difference, but I found it obvious that the CGI face / head was too large for the skinny body almost 75 % of the time and there were times where the shading comparison was way off.

Re: Captain America: The First Avenger - Blu-Ray Review

I watched this Blu-ray last night and I have to say that I though the graphics were impeccable when it came to rendering the main character as skinny weakling. However, after the transformation I felt the first action scene was very poorly portrayed. To me the visuals were very unconvincing in the way CA ran and caught up with the vehicle and did handsprings in the street when the vehicle rolled. I kind of expected the guy to be learning about his powers instead of mastering them right away.

As the movie went along the effects and story got better but still not captivating for the mainstream audience because of the comic book story line. One major weak point is where CA turns from a showgirl into a certified BA overnight. I just thought it poorly written. Overall I would only rate this movie 2 of 5 stars due to the lack of an intriguing story line throughout. My wife would not finish the movie...
