Re: World War Z - Blu-ray Review

Nice review Mike. I missed this one in the theaters... have to say, I was really hoping to see a score in the high 80's! I'll still give this one a spin...

lol, actually the only reason the score isn't in the low 80's was because the extras are non existent. made a dent in the score lol

Re: World War Z - Blu-ray Review

Thanks for the review, Mike. I am a sucker for Zombie films, so this is a no-brainer for me. As far as the shaky-cam, I am one of the few that this bothers me very little -- I actually liked Cloverfield a lot, and Bourne Supremacy's shaky cam was not at all bothersome. But, thanks for the warning though, since my wife has less of a tolerance for it than me I may just make sure to watch this one alone.

I had to skip Cloverfield in my theater due to nausea.... :-(

Might have to skip this one as well.

WWZ is not even close to Cloverfield as far as the camera shake goes. It is much less and not as bad.

Re: World War Z - Blu-ray Review

I am not a zombie fan (way too overdone lately) or a Brad Pitt fan (Cool World was good), but I really enjoyed this movie. Very surprised with the audio, as well. It really blew me away, from the surrounds to the LFE to the clarity of it all. Good movie, audio was spectacular, but like you said - the ending was left open and wanting more....

Re: World War Z - Blu-ray Review

I don't remember any shaky cam with Bourne Supremacy. Crank was horrible... and a horrible movie too. Cloverfield is pretty bad, but somehow I have watched it several times... despite how much I hate shaky cam movies.

I get about all the zombie action I want with The Walking Dead, so I think I will skip this one.

The vampires aren't going anywhere... The Vampire Diaries is still going strong and Dracula is about to hit NBC. I think we have a few in our community too.

Re: World War Z - Blu-ray Review

Watched it last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I like how the zombies differed from the "norm". Also very nice audio. My subs got a nice workout.
