Display is too dark

Hello Everyone,
I have a panasonic 56 inch DLP tv, replaced the lamp a few weeks ago, but the display was darker than normal. Did a factory reset, tried every single adjustment, cleaned the entire TV from dust, but nothing worked. I can watch the tv in a dark room, setting directly in front of the set. I wonder if the lamp was defected, or something else might have gone wrong.

First welcome to the forum. Could be a bad lamp. Do you still have the old lamp or did it go completley? If it was brighter with the old lamp then you could put the old one back in to see. If it's better then you can be certain it's the new lamp.

I did put the old lamp back, and actually the display was darker with the old one, wonder if its a power supply issue, not providing enough to the lamp?

Could be a lamp supply ( ballast ).

I am ordering a new lamp, its always a good idea to have a spare anyways. If this solve the problem i'll post it. if not I guess I have to replace the ballast.
