Excellent, thank you sir. I will probably do everything the exact same except use the exodus PRs.
You may want to consider making the box a few inches deeper to get a lower tuning frequency. I believe Kevin recommends 7-9 ft^3 for PR builds. You can just talk with him to see what a comfortable maximum mass is for his PRs.

25" cube is already pushing the WAF to the extreme. I tried modeling it in WinISD, but my tuning frequency was around 18 or so with the numbers I plugged in so I must of been doing something wrong. How many inches would I need to add for a significant difference?

Changing it to use only single thickness side baffles will give you an additional 0.45 ft^3. Also, for every inch deeper you make it you gain about 0.3 ft^3.

Also, consider that WinISD doesn't take into account how the amount of polyfill will lower the tuning frequency. Comparing to BassBox simulations, which do take this into account, I would say making the box volume in WinISD 10% larger is a simple way to estimate this effect.

Bob at CSS is having some glue sent to me from Meniscus. I'm going to give repairing them a try since they seem like a clean separation from the suspension.

Tell Bob to replace them. You may or may not be able to get a good glue joint in there and you shouldn't have to try.

Hey Kevin, now that I have decided on a build, do I need to call you by phone as far as ordering or do you know a better estimate yet when the next shipment will come in?

I don't have a date yet. I'll post an update and sticky it on this forum when I get more information.

Have you gotten the glue in yet to try out your build? I'm curious to your impressions of it all.

Bob told me to send them to Meniscus. I sent them yesterday so maybe about a week and a half from now It'll be back up and running.

Listening impressions from before I began painting the box were awesome. I had been running it in the basement where I could crank it up and low bass was very strong. I moved it upstairs to watch a movie and I couldn't turn it up to even a fraction of what I was doing downstairs because it started rattling everything in the room really badly.

Sturm, did you find that you could of centered the PRs in your cube if you wanted to without risk of damage to the mael? Just curious as I am about to start my cabinet next week and I would ideally like them centered, but of course will do what needs to be done.

On the first page he included his excel spreadsheet which had calculations of the box and drivers. Very sweet spreadsheet by the way Strum! I played around with it a little and believe you might be able to if you don't double baffle the PRs and rotate/position the PRs not to touch the Mael-x. I'm going from memory so it's better to double check. I know I'm kicking around the idea of Mael + PRs as well, and would prefer to have them all centered as well as a "small" box. Can't really have both. I wanted a 24" cube but the only way that would work is to move the PRs back as well.

Anyways, hope that helps.
