So you would like to build a box similar in appearance to the SVS sub but you want to use your 21" driver, correct? This driver must have dual 8-ohm voicecoils?
So what are your size contraints for the box and what can you use for port tubes? This looks pretty decent in 480L tuned to 20Hz with an 18Hz HPF to protect the woofer, it would handle 700W.
Im in a very small room Length 6m Width 3m height 3m, so I think i don't have to compensate allot( heard it has something to do with natural LF lengthening) Any way I do wanna give it the appearance from the SVS PB-13 Ultra.
Im also looking for an amplifier, in between $200 - $500. I don't have much more, maybe the behringer iNuke 6000 DSP.
The receiver I'm using is the Denon AVC A1SE. (do I have to change this or just keep it).
Yes, you do have a small room and you'll benefit from room gain.
I would suggest 12 cu.ft. tuned to 21 hz with 800 watts and a hi-pass filter at 18 hz.
Three 4" flared ports 17" long would handle the porting.
The ports should be evenly spaced across the width of the box.
Total internal cabinet volume would be about 13 cu.ft to account for all displacements.
An example of a 13 cu.ft cabinet would be approximately 30" high x 28" wide and 31" deep, assuming 3/4" material.
You can fine tune the exact measurements to suit your needs here:

You'll need two braces front to back for 3 ports evenly spaced. Figuring out the bracing displacement looks like fun. I can't remember the diameter of the port flares, you'll need that info to figure out the proper baffle width and height.
And do I need to upgrade my 5.1 Amplifier for the LF? On the moment im a bit confused everybody tells me I should get one with HDMI even though I dont really need surround sound. Would I still benefit to a newer one? and what would it cost to get a good one?
Sounds like an interesting project! Make sure you document this build with as many photos as you can. Its always nice to see something a little different, and I'm sure it helps to encourage others to be brave and try something new.
Looks good! This is going to be a really heavy sub, you might consider cutouts for carrying handles? Perhaps a couple of these or similar. I'm surprised that more people don't use them for these big builds.
Don't give in so easily, let us help you search.
Did you search in Germany? I have good experiences over there, correct delivery and correct pricing.
greetings from Belgium
Expected but a month ago it was also expected, and they lost my trust on their integrity. From the moment I called them the guy said, well we have one. 3 days later I got a message that they didn't have it on stock. Maybe I'm unreasonable but I'm not waiting on something that isn't sure, Thats frustrating as it gets especially with my Autism.
Very frustrating indeed, I would be too even though I'm not autistic.
It's a hard to find driver, sorry I don't have more time, would love to help your quest for this driver.
I'm sure you know http://europe-audio.com/
Maybe they have some replacement for the PD. Didn't look myself yet but pricing seems reasonable.
They don't have good 21'' speakers, and the only other would be the 21LW1400 which would not perform good (lower xmx). It's a shame because other people around here would get ideas either. On the other hand I will make satellites so I can still provide ideas. Anyway thanks for your help I appreciate it.:T
