| Aluminized Fiberglass??? When in the plastics store the other day, I noticed some aluminized fiberglass and wondered if anyone has tried it as a screen... I think the weave may be too coarse, but thought I'd ask given that various manufacturers are using higher gain fiberglass screens (e.g. dalite and screen research who sells an aluminized woven fiberglass screen that they sell as an AT screen). The stuff sells under the trade name texalium. Any thoughts are welcome! | ||||

| Re: Aluminized Fiberglass??? From the data and photos of texalium I could find on the web it looks like interesting stuff, but I believe you are correct in thinking the texture is too coarse to use as a screen material. Addendum: I want to point out I was referring to texalium with that statement. Aluminized fiberglass is available in other brands with a much finer weave. | ||||
