Those screenies look pretty good it me! It's sure hard to spot any "white attenuation" being caused by the Scorpion mix like is being suggested by some at another forum (I don't think they have ever actually tried Scorpion).

On a more serious note Martin, have you or your family and friends ever thought that whites didn't look white in the image? I know it might be a bit soon to judge something like this since you just completed your HT, but please report back when you form an honest opinion.

Addendum: I obviously wrote this before reading your post in the other thread.

No worries I just finished watching Transformers 2 and I didn't have any problems with whites. Tomorrow will be a bigger test to watch a hockey game. The picture quality when watching TR2 was very good, the only thing that I don't like are 'gray' bars due to my PJ's poor contrast... I hope adding two 7" foam strips should take care of this. I'll have to invite my bro-in-law over to check it out, he is the one who said the reason he didn't go with DIY paint and he opted for 120" entry level pull down scree because he said DIY mixes had bad/poor viewable angles I'll show him bad angles...

Don't be too hard on him, I think he's right about that concerning many of the mica-heavy DIY and commercial screen paints!

I'd say that's a real good probability seeing every time I even mentioned it the posts were deleted or the thread was closed! As far as I know nobody outside HTS and maybe the Brits have the formula posted. Shame because it's great stuff! Oh well... We'll settle for it being a Shack exclusive for the official thread.

Not all the commercial screen paints are bad. Granted a lot of the companies have gone out of business over the past couple of years. Some day we'll be able to say we tested all that are left though!

I'll try myself, if it gets deleted/closed I'll be very mad

Re: Basement almost ready for Scorpion N8 (several questions though)

Mech,

Accoring to the numbers what would be "equivalent" comercial screen compartable to it?

TIA
