| Why should I arch a screen? Is there a reason why some screens have a slight bend to them? It seems like the image would be distorted. Is this correct or does it have a positive effect to the viewing area that I should be aware of. | ||||

| Re: Why should I arch a screen? Some use a torus screen for high gain screens. It helps reduce the hot spotting effect. I have a graphic somewhere that I'll try to dig up that shows the difference between a curved screen and a flat screen. Keep in mind though that it's not a radical bend/curve being used. Mainly CRT projectors have used torus screens, not too many digital projector users have a need for one.
