http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...link:middle:us Can I buy this fabric anywhere cheaper? And again, will this be better than painting the wall or using laminate? By the way I have an MITS HC1500. Pretty bright, so gray is a possibility... Approx screen size 106-110" diag 16:9

We haven't had anyone try it yet. If you do please let us know how it turns out for you! As to whether or not it is better than a laminate or paint, I'm not sure either. Again we haven't tried anything like this. I doubt it would be better than Designer White laminate though. There are literally thousands of DW users out there and all are very happy! Except for maybe one I guess. I have the Mitsu HC3000u pj which is similar to yours and I can tell you that you could go with a gray screen if needed. What's your room like? Any ambient light?mech mech Got questions? Start a thread.

| Re: Questions, Answers, and User Comments Thanks for the quick reply. To answer your question, my room is only controlled at night, which is when I would be likely to watch movies or T.V. I think gray may be good. I am concerned about laminate with hotspotting, in the gray though. This other ebay soution, I have not found in gray as yet. This must be a new thing if it hasn't made the forums as yet. By the way I picked up my Mitsu hc1500 for 750 at Bstbuy. It was an open box, which I liked, so I would not feel bad if I decided on something else. I like the picture (on a ligh yellow painted wall, which is the original color of the wall). I think the contrast could be better though. Overall, I have to say the picture Wow'ed us.. What I am getting at is, i saw a clearance on your Mitsu 3000 for 300 dollars more. Would I be better off with the 3000? | |||

| Re: Screen help No - the 1500 is a fine pj! It's just a matter of finding what type of screen you want to go with it! ![]() If you want a simple paint solution for both day and night viewing I'd go with either Sherwin Williams Gray Screen or True Value Winter Mist. If you're handy with the roller you may want to try something a bit more advanced like the Black Widow which would be darker or CGiv which would be lighter. They're both proven methods! And if you want to stick with the fabric from eBay, great! We want you to tell us how that goes! ![]() mech mech Got questions? Start a thread. | |||
