Audioengine A2 review - The Real HT Info Podcast

Hi folks,

I've just posted Episode 15 of The Real HT Info Podcast. The main feature in this episode is a hands on review of the just released Audioengine A2 self-powered speakers.

I've linked this thread on my website as a place to discuss these fantastic little speakers.

My take: I loved them, and really can't think of any competition for them at their size and price.

What are your thoughts? Any questions that I could answer about these speakers?

Interesting... they sure look impressive...

They kinda remind me of the little x-ls speakers at av123.com. They are priced about the same... with these being powered. I wonder how the two would compare.

Re: Audioengine A2 review - The Real HT Info Podcast

Well, the X-LS is much larger, though only tuned 10hz lower, but if anyone had a pair, I'd be happy to try a side by side. I still have the A2, and could probably put off shipping them back for a while.

My guess is that it would be a similar story to the n24 in output, more of it, less breakup at room blasting levels. As for quality of sound, only a comparison could tell.
