Broken English (2007) Dir.: Zoe Cassavetes; Parker Posey, Melvil Poupaud, Drea de Matteo, Justin Theroux, Peter Bogdanovich, Gena Rowlands. A thirtysomething Manhattanite who is cynical about love and relationships has to put up with disastrous dates, her overbearing mother and her friend's "perfect marriage" before finding romance and herself with a seemingly devil-may-care Frenchman. The Dark Backward: Special Edition (1991) Judd Nelson, Bill Paxton, Wayne Newton, Lara Flynn Boyle, James Caan, Rob Lowe, Claudia Christian. Garbage man Marty tries his hand at standup comedy, failing miserably until a third arm mysteriously grows from his back. Gus, his accordion player friend, figures out a way to use the new arm and gets them signed with a sleazy talent agent. Just when success seems near, Marty's girlfriend leaves him -- can the arm be far behind? For years, fans of this excursion into the supernatural realm have claimed that the film is "too powerful to be seen more than once."
