REW on Mac greyed out menus

Hi.
I have not been able to choose input channels for my microphone trough a mLan system 01x i88x without rerouting the intire system. So I found another use of REW - I do it manually - write the filter values in the filter window observe the resulting curves in the main window and transfer to my fbq2496 via midi.
Now to my problem. Whenever I open the filter window all menus turn grey and cannot be accessed even if I close the filter window. The only way to get them back is to restart REW.
Running on a G5 2x2,7 GHz 4Gb Ram Leopard 10.5.2. and REW 4.1.0
I did try to download REW 4.1.1 for mac but after installing that it still shows up as 4.1.0.
Any Ideas?

V4.11 for the Mac is a zipped application bundle, unzip it to where you want the app to reside and run it by double-clicking the bundle. It does not do anything to the location where you placed the V4.10 jar files, just move them to the trash.

Hi
Did that but the zipped download 4.11 for os x expands to RoomEQWizard from mars 5 ,showing info on it is saying versio 4.1.0 and also from inside the program it says 4.1.0.
Is this my problem - that I can't seem to get the right version.

Where are you looking at the version number? Go to the REW Help -> About... menu entry to check the version, the application bundle properties may be out of date.

Ah under the help menu about... it says 4.11 I was looking at: Room EQ Wizzard - Cirka Room EQ Wizzard where it still says 4.10
For some reason it now works and I didn't change the app for the one I downloaded since they are the same.
However I did thrash the old Wizardjarv4 folder in the application folder so that all that remains is RoomEQWizard.
Perhaps that made the difference.
