Silly question...

I finally got around to borrowing my buddy's RS meter to cal the REW SPL meter... when doing so, should the RS meter be set to C weighting? Does the C weighting check box in the mic/meter tab have any effect on this section of the calibration procedure?

Yes........

If you load the Radio Shack calibration file into REW (for your meter), then the C-Weight check box will have no effect when measuring a sub.

Sorry, should've been more specific... Does the Cweight check box have any effect when calibrating the SPL level in REW? I'm using the ECM8000 to call the level, as that's what I'll scan with... does the ECM's cal file need to be loaded when doing the SPL cal?
