| Delay Measurment Question When doing a delay measurement should the delays in the surround processor be zeroed out to get a correct reading?? The reason I ask is because I am getting delays of 27ms on my LCR speakers, I have also run the sweep full range on the mains only and no sub. Signal chain for the mains is HTPC to Pre/Pro to Amp. I am using a behringer for the reading and the left channel is looped back to the soundcard. Thanks | |||

| Re: Delay Measurment Question REW reports the total delay, including any delay the processor adds. Even with its speaker distamces set to 0 there may be some internal processing delay. The absolute figure isn't really important, the thing to check is that the channels come up with the same figure. | |||

| Re: Delay Measurment Question I've set my speakers up to be within 1ms of each other. Be aware that your processor might not adjust the delay of the speaker you are adjusting distance for. I needed to bring my right rear in line with the rest. When I adjusted the distance of that I got no change, but all the other speakers moved. So you get a better understanding of how your processor add delay too, which might be useful sometime. Especially for sub/mains integration. | |||

| Re: Delay Measurment Question Actually no. It's my closest speaker. Maybe NAD have implemented a general delay and subtract from it? It's a NAD Master Series M15 processor. I might be talking out of my exhaust and got it wrong too, though.. It's been known to happen.. ![]() | |||
