I am just about ready to hook up rew ,ub 802,and 8000 microphone , I saw the link to the avs forum ,true rta , but why is there a cable going to the receiver , can you please clarify the wiring directions, I am off tommorow and want to get this rolling

I think brucek has a diagram floating around somewhere.

That cable to the receiver should be from the output (line out) of the computer's soundcard. It can be connected to an input on your receiver or the input of the BFD so that the test sweep can be played through your sub.

Mic >> UB802 Mic Input >> UB802 Tape Out >> Computer Soundcard Line-In >> Computer Line-Out >> Receiver or BFD Input

Make sure you activate the Phantom Power on the UB802. You may have to adjust the controls on the UB802 to set the input of the REW properly.

I think I got that right.

I was digging around for a flowchart or wiring diagram for the MP3+/UB802/ECM8000 combo and found this thread. I might have a question or two over the next couple of days.

Yes, that is exactly how I recently set mine up. That is correct.
