Rew and QSC DSP-4

Let me start by saying thanks for the software and ALL the help on the forum. Yes, I am still somewhat lost, but working my through...

I noticed some old threads about using REW with a QSC DSP-30. Has anyone had any good (successful) experiece with geting REW to work with a DSP-4 or even DSP-30. I am sure they are prety close in their setup. The DSP-4 only uses XLR in and out. If it helps any, my system is running through a Yamaha MG24 board. I am trying to see the best way to hook things up and make then trying to get the adjustments down. I do have the RS Digital SPL and should also have most of the cabling needed.

By the way... Did I happen to say I am REALLY new to this???

Thanks
Chris

Re: Rew and QSC DSP-4

There's no question that REW can measure your system and show you the response.

As far as filter recommendation is concerned, there's no DSP-4 selection provided in REW. This means you'll have to establish the method the DPS-4 uses to define its filters and match one of the available equalizer types that REW offers. It may simply be the Generic selection. The definitions of Q and bandwidth for each of the offered types is in the REW Help file.

If you can match the type closely, then the filters that REW recommends can manually be entered into the QSC software. Then you remeasure and see how well it worked.
