Sanity Check

Now that I've got some spare time, I'm finally getting back to trying to get REW to work with my computer and MobilePre.

I've reinstalled the soundcard driver with the latest on their website and went through the motions of getting everything calibrated.

The equipment:

• Soundcard: M-audio MobilePre
• Mic: Behringer ECM8000
• Speakers being tested: Labtec LCS-2414i

Procedure

1. Put speakers on top of "sub" that is on a table on my patio
2. Calibrate soundcard
3. Load calibration file for ECM8000
4. Stand mounted mic is placed about 2ft from speakers
5. Adjust levels (said I was too low, but i went through the test anyway)
6. Smoothed to 1/3 octave

Again, just looking for a sanity check to be sure that I did it right and if these are the results that should be expected from these speakers.

Vertical graph axis should be 45dB-105dB...............

Target level should be 75dB

Well, I guess I'm in the same boat I was in before -- I can't duplicate my results. There has got to be something wrong with my laptop that's preventing me from getting this thing to work (it works on other computers).
