Soundblaster Calibration Problem

Hey Guys,
I finally decided to get off my lazy and eq my sub. I'm having a little trouble calibrating the sound card. I have gone over all the help files, and step by step instruction to set the soundblaster card, but I'm still getting a strange graph. Basically the line is flat, but at about 25hz it starts to rise pretty dramatically, adn I really don't know how to fix it.

Can you describe how did you hook up everything???

Also, I think this has to do with your soundcard setting on the computer ... I did everything right, but last week I downloaded a program on my laptop, next day I played with REW and got some extrange graphs (like yours that starts high in the lower Hz and then decrease a little), all measurements I did in different places looked the same ... the problem was that somehow my souncard setting were changed

That is just the opposite of the meter cal curve. You have a meter cal file loaded, but you are not measuring with the meter yet so what you are seeing is the meter correction applied to a flat measurement through your loopback connection. Go ahead and make some measurements of the sub with the meter.

It funny, I was getting so agravated last night screwing with the REW, and when I woke up this morning, it came to me that I had loaded the cal. file for my spl meter. Thanks for the reply guys, and thanks John for further enforcing my suspicions. I'll post my results, as I'm sure I'm gonna need some help with smoothing out my curve.
