| 1st REW sweep....... Now What? Well, I mad emy first sweep, and I'm not sure where I need to make my adjustment, so I was hoping for a little direction from the pros. As far as REW is concerned, it tells me I have no peaks, but I sure have some nulls. | ||||

| Re: 1st REW sweep....... Now What? First thing to do is change the graph axis to the standard of: Vertical axis = 45dB-105dB Horizontal axis = 15Hz-200Hz The Graph axis button is in the top right corner of REW.... brucek | ||||

| Re: 1st REW sweep....... Now What? How big is your room? And how loud was your measurement when you took it? I suppose another good question is what gear are you running and what are all your settings? A plot of just the subs and just the mains would be helpful too. -Mike Bentz ~It's all about compromise~ "It's territorial with the soundboard. So you're mixing and some dude comes by spewing opinions and trying to turn knobs. It's akin to going up to an artist and painting over his unfinished masterpiece. You just want to shove your paint brush up his nose and throw the soundboard out the window!" | ||||

Either way, you do indeed have some decent dips there. Have you tried moving your sub tube around to different locations (easier said than done I suppose)..... maybe move it once to your listening position and walk the microphone around using RTA mode to find a superior position. BTW, do your testing with the sub only (mains off). Add the mains only when you're satisfied with the sub.. brucek | |||||

| Re: 1st REW sweep....... Now What? Well, I finally had time to get back to tinkering. As far a moving the sub, its unfortunately not an option at the moment, unless I decide to rebuild, so I'm hoping to get it woking in its current location. I readjusted my levels, and here is what I came up with. It looks pretty flat, but I'm a little concered about the boost I needed to add at the low end. Take a look and let me know what yall think. Thanks | ||||
