| What did I do wrong? 0.00 levels on Soundcard Folks, I've done a few sessions since finally figuring out how to make it all work, and setup had been smooth and easy. But yesterday, when I plugged everything in and made sure the .cal files were loaded, and USB Sound, Line-in, and Speaker chosen, all my soundcard levels were at 0.00. I thought the soundcard .cal file remembered those levels. I hadn't made any changes to the way the laptop was setup. Is there something obvious I'm missing? I'd hate to have to calibrate the card again. Thanks, deadhead | ||||

| Re: What did I do wrong? 0.00 levels on Soundcard You never have to calibrate the card again, but the soundcard cal file is simply a text file that REW uses after you have taken a measurement to adjust the readings to compensate for the cards weaknesses. It has nothing to do with any measurement levels. You do have to run the Check levels routine again each session. brucek | ||||

| Re: What did I do wrong? 0.00 levels on Soundcard brucek, I believe I had left REW open--probably for a couple of days straight--when I closed the laptop at night. I have a nasty habit of doing that. So, when I started REW the other day, it was technically only my second session. At least, that's what I think happened... Thanks for all your help here, deadhead | ||||
