I dont have a MIDI, I entered it all manually.

Should i just start over? And how should i do this?

Neither do I...

You need to redo your raw measure. It's not within a workable target.

It looks like you did everything correct, but I suspect you didn't click the Calibrate SPL button after you finished the Check Levels routine. Once the Check Level routine is finished, the actual level at the listening position is 75dBSPL as set by your SPL meter. Then we have to tell REW to set its internal meter to ~75dB as well (to match the two meters). That's what the Calibrate SPL routine does.

The top smooth part of your plot #1 is probably the 75dB mark and will end up around the target line. The target line is used to determine the filters.

Redo the measure and also this time use the standard vertical scale of 45dB-105dB and horizontal scale of 15Hz-200Hz. They are set with the Graph Limits button.

Once you've got a good raw measure, post it so we can see...

Then you should run the Set Target Level routine to ensure your estimated level is consistent with the target line and creation of reasonable filters. You only need to look at that plot #1 and you know either the Calibrate SPL or Measured Target Level is way off.

Change your graph scaling to the standard vertical = 45dB-105dB and horizontal = 15Hz-200Hz

And what can I expect from preformance from my RS SPL. Will it suffice?

Re: Tell me what you think.

Yeah, looks good. I might try and move the sub around a bit to smooth it out if you can, but you can certainly help it with some equalization.

I think the USB to Midi interface cable that a lot of people use is this one. Just connect from the Computer USB to the BFD MIDI-IN port.

It's fine for sub measurements. I don't understand the question really. Are you not using it to measure now?

To use a Midi interface on the Mac with REW you will probably need software from Mandolane: http://www.mandolane.co.uk/index.html

Re: Tell me what you think.

The goal is to get smooth response down to 25 Hz, or even lower if your subwoofer is capable enough. As it is now, you're losing everything below ~35 Hz. It looks like your sub may be capable of getting below 20 Hz, if placed in a favorable location. Do you have a corner availible?

Regards,
Wayne

With a PC you wouldn't require any special software, but with the MAC you need it. Either way, the midi connection is for those who don't feel like entering the REW suggested filters from the front panel of the equalizer and would rather do it with a cable download. Personally, I enter them by hand. Seriously, how often do you plan on doing it that you can't enter it by hand.

See that blue target line on the graph, that you set to your crossover frequency? If your sub tracked that line, it would be a perfect world. Try your best within reason....

You beat me with the answer

As Brucek said ... try to get your sub response as close as possible to the blue line, I little above or below the line is acceptable too

Wow - can't remember when I've seen response that bad from a corner. Hopefully you had that slider door closed when you made the measurements? Is that front corner by the left speaker an option?

Regards,
Wayne
