![]() You need to redo your raw measure. It's not within a workable target. It looks like you did everything correct, but I suspect you didn't click the Calibrate SPL button after you finished the Check Levels routine. Once the Check Level routine is finished, the actual level at the listening position is 75dBSPL as set by your SPL meter. Then we have to tell REW to set its internal meter to ~75dB as well (to match the two meters). That's what the Calibrate SPL routine does. The top smooth part of your plot #1 is probably the 75dB mark and will end up around the target line. The target line is used to determine the filters. Redo the measure and also this time use the standard vertical scale of 45dB-105dB and horizontal scale of 15Hz-200Hz. They are set with the Graph Limits button. Once you've got a good raw measure, post it so we can see... brucek

| Re: Tell me what you think. This is the final result for my start. Tell me what you think. I purchased a Midi will any work? It is a UM-1EX, Edirol By Rolland. I also have a Mac book Pro. The Midi says it works with Mac but will it work with the FBQ2496 ![]() And what can I expect from preformance from my RS SPL. Will it suffice? Last edited by devicente; 07-21-08 at 09:21 PM.. | ||||

| Re: Tell me what you think. Yeah, looks good. I might try and move the sub around a bit to smooth it out if you can, but you can certainly help it with some equalization. I think the USB to Midi interface cable that a lot of people use is this one. Just connect from the Computer USB to the BFD MIDI-IN port. Quote:

| Re: Tell me what you think. To use a Midi interface on the Mac with REW you will probably need software from Mandolane: http://www.mandolane.co.uk/index.html | ||||

| Re: Tell me what you think. The goal is to get smooth response down to 25 Hz, or even lower if your subwoofer is capable enough. As it is now, you're losing everything below ~35 Hz. It looks like your sub may be capable of getting below 20 Hz, if placed in a favorable location. Do you have a corner availible? Regards, Wayne | ||||

![]() As Brucek said ... try to get your sub response as close as possible to the blue line, I little above or below the line is acceptable too ![]()

| Re: Tell me what you think. Wow - can't remember when I've seen response that bad from a corner. Hopefully you had that slider door closed when you made the measurements? Is that front corner by the left speaker an option? Regards, Wayne | ||||
