you guys have some great software here and hopefully I will figure out how to use it soon. I finally got time to calibrate my soundcard tonight but when I try to check levels going through my AVR I get serious feedback . I am running a Vista machine with a Realtek soundcard. Connections are as follows , right in from RS meter to soundcard ,right out to AVR right aux input. RS spl meter set to 80. When I select check levels I have my AVR volume all the way down and slowly raise it. I can never get the spl meter to break the 75 threshold before feedback takes over.
Any suggestions ?

You have the soundcards monitor mode turned on. It results in the line-in being enabled in the playback mixer - it shouldn't be. It should only be enabled in the record mixer.

I read that scenario in the help files but I cannot find an option to turn it off . I will investigate further after work today. Thanks Brucek

Disable (mute) it in the Windows Playback mixer.....
