| Check Levels Problem It seems I'm doing something wrong in the Check Levels procedure. I'm using the main speeakers to set levels. Sweep level is set to -12db. Once the signal starts to play, I adjust my pre-pro volume until my SPL meter reads 75db. The volume setting in Windows (Vista) is at the max level. At this point, the right level meter in REW reads about -28. From what I understand though, the right level should be about -18. What am I doing wrong? | ||||

| Re: Check Levels Problem Levels should be adjusted by using the Playback and Recording Devices levels tab in VISTA. This is accessed by right clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray and selecting (for example) Recording Devices and selecting Levels tab and use the slider to select the input level to your soundcard. Take a look at this thread where I show adjusting levels in VISTA. It's quite different than XP. brucek | ||||
