RoomSim ceiling height

Hello to everyone !

Here's my first question in the forum. It concerns input for "Height" in RoomSim". Which value should I enter if the ceiling on one side is 2,89m and on the other side 3,02m.

Merci Yves

PS Be kind for my english writing I'm a francophone from Canada

Re: RoomSim ceiling height

Welcome to the forum!

The difference between the two extremes is essentially only 10 cm. If it was a lot more than that, I would say the model does not apply. But with that small amount of variation, the difference between corresponding frequencies is only 373 Hz to 389 Hz, not much of a spread, and I would say spit the difference at 2.96 m.

The greater that slope in your ceiling, the softer the resulting resonances / standing waves. They will certainly not be negated by that amount of slope. The average should work fine for in-home acoustical purposes.
