Need Advice

I would welcome some advice on connecting the following components to get the most out of REW

Dell VOSTRO Laptop
Sound blaster Live 24 external
Denon 3806 AVR with 7.1 Sp Setup
Radio Shack 33-2055 digital meter

I would like to measure all that I can with the connection setup.

Welcome to the shack. I suggest if not already to start here reading about REW, cabling, sound card, Radio Shack meter and how to get started.

You will find this information will provide most of what you need to get started. When you have specific issues then post and you will get all the help you need but you need to start by reading.

When connecting to my AVR aux-in do I use the SPDIF Out on the rear of my soundblaster live? and does this output need to be split R & L ?

Use the soundcard's analog outputs, send them to a vacant input on the receiver. These days most receivers have handy front-panel inputs.

Thanks for your input. The output choices I have available to me are. (c/sub, rear, front) what would be the best to use ? again I'm using a "Soundblaster Live 24" My goal is to get the most out of my sub. It always seems to loud or to soft, It never seems balanced with the system even after running Denon's "Room EQ".
